Electrical power control ELC
The electrical power control ELC is the modular solution for the power supply and intelligent control of electric boilers and hybrid boilers. The functional unit consists of power cabinets and a control cabinet, and offers a wide range of power levels from 250 to 5500 kW.

Optimised operation of electric boiler systems thanks to modern thyristor technology
The ELC offers stepless control over the entire power range from 0 to 100%. The thyristor technology used precisely adjusts the output to dynamic heat demands or available surplus electricity. At the same time, the smart full-wave control minimises grid disturbances and ensures high grid stability.
Intelligent system protection for very high availability, operational reliability and durability
The ELC is designed for very high redundancy. The option of switching cycle optimisation distributes the load evenly across the contactors and increases their service life. If necessary, individual power cabinets can be selectively switched off without interrupting the entire system operation. In addition, a voltage monitor protects your system in the event of a power failure and ensures a controlled restart.
Efficient thermal management and temperature concept protects electrical components
Bosch’s efficient thermal management system uses roof-mounted fans to achieve an even temperature distribution at a low level. An optional cooling system provides reliable regulation at ambient temperatures of up to 45 °C. In addition, each cabinet is equipped with smart temperature monitoring and an associated protection concept.
Full operating data transparency and easy monitoring with the Bosch Boiler Control BCO
A PLC in the ELC control cabinet transmits the operating data to the Boiler Control BCO for visualisation. All system information is clearly displayed on one screen. Integrated power and energy meters allow for detailed monitoring (standard > 500 kW). Furthermore, seamless connection to higher-level automation systems is possible with all common control technology protocols.
Simpler planning and flexible installation of the electrical power supply
The modular design of the ELC system offers the flexibility to set up the individual functional units separately from one another. The control cabinet design provides sufficient space for connecting the cables; additional bases are generally unnecessary. Detailed technical information from Bosch simplifies the planning of peripherals, the entire system and all connections.
