Bosch supplies steam boilers for hydrogen utilization

The UL-S steam boiler from the Bosch plant in Gunzenhausen utilizes up to 100% hydrogen from production processes to generate 15 t/h of superheated steam. Instead of CO2, water vapor is produced in the flue gas. The boiler and burner with flue gas recirculation are optimally matched to one another and reliably enable NOx emissions below 60 mg/m³.
In addition to the option of using natural gas as a back-up fuel, the boiler offers a very high efficiency of over 100% (based on the calorific value) thanks to condensing technology. The new system will be used in the future by a chemical manufacturer in Poland.
